# Serverpod

> Serverpod is an open-source backend framework built for Flutter, written in Dart. The server, the data models and the client are one typed codebase in one language: Serverpod generates the Dart client that the Flutter app calls, so app and server stay in sync. Run it on Serverpod Cloud, where the Serverpod team operates it, or host it yourself. Current version: Serverpod 4.0.4 (October 2026).
